Iran Academia is an online educational organization based in The Netherlands. Our mission is to build capacity for Iran’s civil society by increasing access to actionable knowledge, tools and networks. We do this by offering excellent learning opportunities within the social sciences through three different platforms; Academia (accredited Masters level program), AcademiX (Massive Open Online Courses platform) and Agora (multimedia platform).
Iran Academia is currently looking for an experienced Fundraiser. The applicant must master excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and needs to be skilled in researching and devising strategies and identifying fundraising opportunities.
For this position, the applicant needs to be adept at people management, build long-term relationships with potential donors and persuasively explain the necessity of donating for the cause. The ability to meet fundraising targets and understanding donor budget formats are nonetheless important. Preferably, the applicant is familiar with governmental and institutional fundraising applications and has a wide network in the online education sector.


  • Higher education
  • Relevant certifications are desirable
  • Fluent in English is a must
  • A minimum of three years of relevant working experience is required

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Undertake online research and approach potential donors for funding
  • Identify donor opportunities that match the scope of work of the organization
  • Build and sustain relations with local and international donors; be responsive to their requests and keep them updated on the activities of the organization
  • Maintain records of donor information for future use
  • Develop ideas, write concept notes and proposals and ensure timely submissions
  • Write monitoring and evaluation reports
  • Suggest innovative ideas for effective resource mobilization
  • Develop business plans to generate income from various sources
  • Organize campaigns or events that will lead to soliciting donations
  • Identify priority actions and handle occasional workload peaks
  • High level of flexibility and team spirit is necessary
  • Performs other relevant duties as required

  • Compensation of 2420, – Euros (inclusive taxes) a month for a trial period of five months with the possibility of extension based on performance and available funds
